How to Import Books from Files, Cloud Storage or Messaging Apps
Save an ebook from iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or a message to your iPhone, then import it into Bookify before sending it to Kindle.

Quick answer
Download the actual ebook file, then share it to Bookify or save it to Files and import it from Bookify. A cloud-sharing URL or preview page is not the ebook file. After import, download the prepared book in the Kindle browser.
Start with a file in cloud storage
- Find the ebook in iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or your cloud storage app.
- Download the complete file to your iPhone. A cloud icon can mean the file is not yet local.
- Use the app's file export, Open in or share action to choose Bookify. Alternatively, choose Save to Files.
- If you saved to Files, open Bookify's Bookshelf, tap the add button and select that file.
Choose the file export action, not Copy link. An offline cache inside another app may not be accessible to Bookify. Menu labels vary by app and version.
Start with a message attachment
Open the ebook attachment in your messaging app and wait for it to download. Use its share or Open in menu to send the file to Bookify, or save it to Files first.
This applies to actual ebook attachments, including files received in WeChat. A conversation, reading-app page or cloud-sharing invitation is not a file export. Books inside a reading service may not be exportable.
Start with a Safari download
Download the ebook, open Safari's download list and locate it in Files. Share the downloaded file to Bookify or select it inside Bookify. Check that you downloaded an ebook rather than a saved webpage or sign-in screen.
Check the format and target device
Bookify supports EPUB, MOBI, AZW3 and TXT. Unzip archives in Files before selecting the ebook inside. Renaming a PDF or HTML file to .epub does not convert it.
Before import, select Kindle in Settings → Reading Optimization. Bookify prepares a compatible file for Kindle; see EPUB conversion and transfer.

Submitting a problem book uploads that chosen file for troubleshooting. Normal local transfers do not use this upload service.
Finish the transfer
Once the book appears in Bookify, follow iPhone to Kindle transfer. Saving to your phone, importing into Bookify and downloading onto Kindle are separate steps.

What if Bookify is missing from the share sheet?
Check More in the app row. If Bookify is still unavailable, save the ebook to Files and select it using the add button in Bookify.
Can I export books from any reading app?
Only if that app offers a supported DRM-free file export. Bookify does not extract protected books or remove DRM.
Can I import a ZIP or PDF this way?
